Traffic Control Plans

If you plan to temporarily occupy the District's public space, for construction or any event, you will need to apply for a permit with the District Department of Transportation (DDOT)

As part of the permit application process, you will need us to prepare a Traffic Control Plan (TCP), also known as a Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Plan, custom tailored to your site and scope of work. In this plan, we will specify the safety devices required to alert, direct, and control pedestrian and/or vehicular traffic around your temporary public space occupancy. As a Civil Engineering Firm, this is our professional duty to "Hold paramount the safety, health, and welfare of the public."

You can contract with us to prepare just the TCP and file the permit yourself, or you can have us take care of the whole package.
